Posters and Presentations
We solicit submissions of 1 to 2 page long abstracts. Accepted submissions will be included in the proceedings distributed at the conference. The authors of accepted abstracts will be asked to prepare a poster and will be able to give a short oral presentation of their work. Best abstracts will be selected after the conference for an extended version to be included in a post-conference book.
We are currently putting together the proceedings. If you still have a modification to submit, please hurry up and send an email to fir@epfl.ch.

Student Grants
Several 500 CHF grants will be given to students to encourage their participation in the symposium. Selection is based on the quality of abstract submissions a motivation letter and CV.Live Demonstrations
We encourage participants to bring demonstrations of biological or robotic systems. A public event will allow external visitors to enjoy your demonstrations and enhance the visibility of the field through press articles.
Hands-on Workshops
Participants will also have the opportunity to take part in daily hands-on workshops in order to gain practical experience with different aspects related to the symposium topic (e.g., biology flying insects or biomimetic flying robots).
